(ACCOUNT NUMBER DISCOVERY)

This section is used to discover the alarm systems existing alarm account number in order to determine what receiver line card phone number to program into the diverter so it will not clash with any existing account number alredy being reported to that receivers line card.

In may cases, the Subscriber may already know the account number or it may be written on the alarm panel.  Remember, only the last 4 digits are needed.  And if you do locate the actual account number, you may be able to skip this section and proceed directly to the next section.  However, we always recommend verifying the account number using this section.
